Welcome!

This site serves as my online curriculum vitae. In addition to what one typically finds in a CV, it includes explanatory comments on my research and publications, a photo gallery highlighting some of my travels, and other information of relevance. Throughout the website, links to other, relevant sites are provided. For those who are interested, a formal CV is available in PDF format without the comments and links.

About Me:

In March of 2010, I completed my doctoral degree in anthropology from the School of Human Evolution and Social Change (formerly the Department of Anthropology) at Arizona State University. I am an archaeologist, particularly interested in the Mississippian culture of prehistoric North America. I was born and raised in rural southwestern Indiana, near Angel Site (one of the most important Mississippian mound centers) and New Harmony (one of the earliest European settlements in the region). Surrounded by history, I naturally became interested in the past, and set my mind on a career in archaeology as early as grade school.
